Eliminating barriers to PD by addressing health disparities

Opportunity exists to increase the use of PD among African & Hispanic Americans 

  • Higher incidence of ESKD in African and Hispanic Americans compared to white Americans yet they are less likely to receive PD 
  • In 2021, the prevalence of ESRD among Black individuals was over 4 times that of White individuals.1
  • Vantive is committed to supporting education and awareness, to increase PD access for all ethnicities and patient types. This includes, the Black K.A.R.E (Kidney Awareness, Resources and Education) program, a website dedicated to kidney health for the Black American community
